PVC ventilation pipe has a high resistance to corrosive chemicals and is favoured over traditional galvanised metal systems which have a risk of increased corrosion.

The wall thickness of PVC pipe is thin, making it a very lightweight structure that can be hung from ceilings and roofs with little support.

This pipe is not suitable for temperatures above 50°C and is widely used for fume ducting and extraction in the pharmaceutical industry. It is also an ideal thermoplastic to use in areas of high humidity such as water treatment plants, swimming pools and air scrubbing plants.

PVC ducting systems can be assembled using either hot-air welding or glue.
